Storm Legion puzzle lovers will be happier and poorer in patch 2.3 because Nomi is coming to the Dendrome. Nomi, sister to Omi is an artifact vendor, selling all the artifacts required to solve the Storm Legion puzzles. Nomi sells the common artifacts for 5 platinum, uncommon for 10 platinum and rare for 20 platinum. Continue Reading

I’ve been puzzling about the frequency of coloured glowing orbs dropping from the Little Black Book puzzle. The orbs come in common, uncommon, rare and epic, except the epic seems more frequent than the rare glowing orbs. I decided to test this by solving the puzzle 102 times and recording the frequency of each coloured orb. This is what I came up with: Continue Reading
Ah, that elusive +1 recommending a dimension to the public. It seems that the more votes a dimension has, the more it receives while equally excellent dimensions lower in the field struggle to be noticed. This regular series looks at the best on offer. I’ve picked the recommended dimensions for their style, innovation or entertainment value; they all have that elusive quality that made me go wow! This post, I recommend the best of the new dimension, Moonshade Pools, in North America.
All these dimensions are worthy of more votes than they currently have, so if you can vote while visiting, give their owners a little ego boo with a +1. Happy dimensioning! Continue Reading
In my travels through the Rift forums, I found this little gem in Community Creations. I love the idea that someone is creating music for Rift so I thought I’d show my support by sharing it with y’all. The creator, Shortycool, has also written a little story to go with his music. Check it out on Unearthing The Dendrome.
Occasionally I receive emails from readers requesting me to look at their dimensions. I pop in for a looksee when I can and offer suggestions I may have via email. Occasionally, when I see a dimension that takes my fancy or has something new for my readers, I feature it here. Recently Nathra@Threesprings asked me to look at her dimension, Kongs Theme Park. This dimension caught my eye for two reasons. The first was the reconstruction of Donkey Kong and the second was the unfulfilled potential in the dimension. Continue Reading
Competitions are a natural way to stimulate interest in dimensions. This blog is running the One Perfect Spring Day build-a-dimension contest with a closing date of May 15th but that’s not the only competition running. Under the careful guidance of Anneleigh and The Artisan’s Guild, the ‘Hidden Gems Of Faeblight‘ wishes to shine a spotlight on Faeblight dimensions with less than 50 votes. The other contest running is ‘Child’s Play‘ managed by Embri and Kumberlin of Deepwood. The objective is to build the bestest, cutest toy. While One Perfect Spring Day is open to both Europe and North America (since the prize is a page on this website devoted to the winner), the other competitions are limited to North America only, since prizes can not be delivered to Europe.
Contest details as follow:- Continue Reading
Some dimensions tell a tale much like a painting. The scene is set and the viewer adds their interpretation to what they see. There are other ways to interact with dimensions. Some are puzzles to be solved or jumped. I thought I’d share some puzzle dimensions that I’ve enjoyed recently. Some have jump puzzles built into them but they’re Radish friendly jumps (radishes are not known for their jumping ability) and each one of them is an excellent example of the genre. If, like me, you are wary of mazes and jump puzzles, give these dimensions a try, they’re a gentle introduction. Continue Reading
News at last! Moonshade Pools dimension will release next week, one presumes during next week’s maintenance. Dwarves (and others) everywhere let out a sigh of relief that this long awaited dimension is on it’s way.
Trion are celebrating the release of Moonshade Pools with live streams and gifts. The gift will come in the form of a code in the next edition of Riftwatch, Trion’s semi-regular newsletter. When entered into your Rift account, the code will send two account-bound ferns to your toons’ mailboxes. You will need to be subscribed to the newsletter before it is released, so head to this page, sign in and tick yes for receiving Riftwatch if you have not already subscribed. Continue Reading
My friend, Ktar, loves dimensions. For his first dimension, Ktar built a mean maze complete with an mountain dwarf house. His latest project is a really spiffy log cabin in Kestrel’s Cry Ravine. He’s a builder by trade. If we could translate his cabin to real life it would stand intact. By his own admission, Ktar can’t deocrate; the small details that set a scene are beyond Ktar and his computer. So he asked me to decorate his log cabin basement, dwarf style. Continue Reading
Been fishing for your cherry trees and elven tables but don’t know what to do with all those pesky boats you’ve fished up? Let the ‘Maritime Theater Presents’ by Lillil@Greybriar (main name Lils) inspire you.
Go fishing and you soon find that some items accumulate. Cherry trees and lacy elven tables are in great demand but snowy rowboats and ferries are limited in use – until we saw the ‘Maritime Theatre Presents’. From the box office to the stage, boats form many of the structural and decorative elements of this dimension. Continue Reading
