There are currently 21 personal dimensions available in Rift and choosing the right dimension is an important decision for the dimensioneer. Much has changed with the release of Patch 2.3, the Dendrome. Now players can have up to ten dimensions on one toon, the first two dimension slots are free and the rest bought, and the item limit for all dimensions was doubled by the addition of a fifth tier. While, we now have greater choice and flexibility with dimensions, picking a dimension suitable for your long term purpose will save a lot of wasted platinum and energy. Storm Legion is here heralding the arrival of Dimensions, Trion’s foray into customisable homes for players. I’m excited about dimensions. So much play within a MMO is about grinding; grinding for levels, for gear, for achievements and other status symbols that are appropriately appealing. Unless you’re a role-player, there are few opportunities for creativity within MMOs. Character customisation or costume assembly with matching mount, pets and title selection are the usual fare. Dimensions all about the creativity. They are sufficiently complex to provide an endgame for the player who doesn’t want to (or can’t) engage in the traditional endgames of raiding or PvP.
