Every so often, in my journeys through a shard or the Rift forums, I’ll see a dimension advertised who’s very name inspires curiosity. Wanderlust by Emerald@Greybriar is one of those dimensions who’s name foreshadows what we are about to see. Once inside, I just nodded my head and said “Of course, what else could it be?”
Wanderlust is a great example of terraforming a dimension. The usual contours of Sanguine Shores are unrecognisable. A terrace pool and some serious rockery transform the look of this place. The caravans are perfect, with everything needed for travel; comfortable and compact, oozing with charm.
Naming things is difficult for me, I wish I had greater talent in this department. Taking a little time out to find an appropriate name for a dimension enhances the viewer’s experience once inside. Emerald has captured the essence of her dimension with one word. When we enter we are already prepped with romanticised ideas and notions about what this dimension could be and Emerald has delivered on those notions.
The fifth tier has made a huge difference to Sanguine Shores and Warden’s Point. Two hundred items was not enough to express many ideas but that extra 200 item count has allowed the two smallest dimensions to blossom. Wanderlust is an excellent example of the compact but clever ideas that can be bought to life in these starter dimensions.
