It was a hard decision. Should I enter my flagship dimension, The Radish Inn and Maze, or should I enter my new creation, Sweet Valentine, into The Joys of Dimensions contest?
When I compare my work to spectacular creations, like Cariina’s ‘Eyecandy’ and Gabriael’s ‘Aerial Storm Castle’, I realise my work is a quieter, subdued affair. I prefer limited colour palettes and use glowy, flashy things only when they enhance the basic structure of my design. I love showing whimsy and humour in my dimensions. The Radish Inn and Maze is full of those things. Unfortunately, subtlety, whimsy and humour don’t display well, particularly in a competition.
The past couple of days I’ve been frantically finishing ‘Sweet Valentine’. It’s turned out to be a beautiful dimension but small with most of the item limit used on a few morphs. Should I enter my most impressive dimension or my most representative dimension in Trion’s contest? In the end, I went with the dimension I love the most. I’d rather show the world qualities I admire than bribe them with beauty.
So if you think Radish has earned the title of ‘Architect’ then please throw a vote my way. While you’re there, browse the other entries and vote for those you believe worthy. You can vote for multiple entries each day, so come back frequently and vote.
That’s the end of the competition news for now. The next few articles will be totally competition free, I promise.
